Wizard World Chicago 2006, Part Three!
There were several celebrities of varying luminosity at Wizard World...
...like Lou Ferrigno, TV's Incredible Hulk...
...Dirk Benedict, Starbuck on the original Battlestar Galactica and "Faceman" on The A-Team...
...Richard Kiel, "Jaws" in the James Bond movies...
...Erica Durance, Lois Lane on Smallville...
...and Kristen Bell, TV's Veronica Mars. She is the one entering the doorway. Beth is (was?) a big fan, but didn't want to shell out $30 to buy something for her to sign. Instead, she sneaked around trying to get a picture of her when she wasn't at her table.
Fortunately, we met many more gracious "celebrities" who were very willing to pose with us.
The Mighty Thor, for one...
...Han Solo...
...Link from "The Legend of Zelda..."
...a Gamorrean Guard...
...Captain Jack Sparrow!...
...the Transformer Bumblebee...
(It seemed really, really uncomfortable for the woman(!) inside of that costume, but it payed off for her in the end. I'll save that for Part Four...)
...and finally, Justin and I were very pleased to meet Power Girl!
...Dirk Benedict, Starbuck on the original Battlestar Galactica and "Faceman" on The A-Team...

Part Four will follow soon, in which our Justin is drafted into a costume contest...

Thank you, I kind of like the Power Girl picture too. I printed it out onto photo paper with my new printer and it now hangs on my fridge. (Along with pictures of me [and various other family members not including Dad] meeting/hugging Jim Gaffigan, Michael Moore, and Captain Jack Sparrow.)
I heard about Hudith, yes. I was actually listening to WKZO on Monday evening on my short drive home (I can get it in my car, I like to hear Kalamazoo news) and Dave Jaconette mentioned that there was going to be some announcement about changes at WMU the next day. I was slightly worried at that! I did think that Judi being canned was a possibility, but I figured we couldn't be so lucky! Ha ha!
Also, believe it or don't, but Power Girl is an actress/model/hostess/??? named Liana K., who works on the "Ed the Sock" show, which is on G4 or something? Yes, that is the Canadian sock puppet from Muchmusic, remember? I can't find a very good link, but try this: http://www.edthesock.com/News/article/sid=130.html
